ComPAIR for Teaching and Learning

In this session we will explore ComPAIR, a peer review tool that adds comparing to the process of students reviewing one another’s work. We will show the platform's components, overall functionality, and unique affordances for teaching and learning.

Turnitin for Teaching and Learning

Join us in exploring and discussing Turnitin, a plagiarism-checking tool with more functionality that you might expect. Learn about how it works, how you can use it in the classroom, and discuss educative approaches to using Turnitin with students.

This workshop covers:

• demonstration of Turnitin’s different functions
• suggested approaches for implementation

Introduction to Articulate

This Articulate Rise 360 workshop for faculty and staff provides a comprehensive introduction to Rise 360’s responsive and engaging features, from building a course structure and populating it with content to adding interactive activities and assessment questions.

TLEF Consultations

LDDI will help faculty with their applications for Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) projects, including cross-faculty collaborations.

We will provide consultation regarding:

• Pedagogical/course design solutions;
• Technical support and recommendation for tools and technologies;
• Evaluation strategies;
• Project management;
• Budget planning;
• Liaising with other units such as the Center for Teaching Learning and Technology (CTLT).

UDL Fellows Program – 2024 Cohort

As part of the 2024 Small TLEF funding round, the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic has earmarked funding to support a second cohort for the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Fellows Program. The UDL Fellows Program will run across four months, with the second intake occurring in May 2024. Faculty of Education Internal Deadline for proposal submission is January 5th, 2024, by 4pm. LDDI helps faculty with their applications. We provide consultation regarding pedagogical solutions; technical support and recommendations; evaluation strategies; project management; budget planning; and liaising with other units.
