Description / Usage
The laptop carts carry old laptops that we can use for events, support, or anything that requires a spare laptop. The laptop has an extendable handle and wheels that can be used for easy transportation. You can extend the handle by pushing the button underneath the handle to release the lock and pulling out the handle. Conversely, you can bring back the handle by pushing the button and pushing the handle back into the socket.
Laptop Signout
For the most part, ETS does not lend out equipment to people unless they are in close connection with our office. There may be regular sign outs of the laptop such as a classroom that needs it once a week, every week at a certain time.
Laptops
The laptops have been benchmarked and have their scores stickered on them with red indicating bad, yellow indicating okay, and green indicatinggood. There is also a sticky note attached to them that give qualitative notes for usability; such as: programs it can run, battery life, general experience of speed.
There may also be sticky notes attached to them indicating log in and password. You may notice that the passwords tend to follow a pattern of either having ETS, scarfe, or 1008 in one of the fields. In spite of this, it is very useful to have the usernames and passwords remain on the laptops, so you would definitely want to tape down a sticky note if you find it falling off.
Try your best to keep all the laptops charged and when they are done charging, leave the laptop’s respective charger in the extra wide compartment to the right of the laptops. This will help you keep track of which charger belongs to which laptop.
