Vision
Studio B – Discovery Lab offers an avenue for FoE instructors to experiment with new and emerging technologies and investigate their educational applications. It allows instructors to learn about digital tools in a hands-on way, with support from LDDI’s skilled team of learning designers and learning technologists. Studio B also serves as a space for instructors to bring their classes on field trips, facilitating student learning and experimentation. Field trips and workshops are available by request.
Exhibitions are regularly refreshed to showcase new digital tools, ensuring that FoE educators remain at the forefront of emerging educational technologies. Studio B also facilitates collaborations with other units at UBC to offer expertise and hardware that might not otherwise be accessible to FoE instructors.
